This is a rare opportunity and there's a reason for that.** Wine pairing in restaurant is a difficult and expensive. There's a lot of knowledge involved in the process. And I have to say that all my experiences of menu-wine-pairings, ranging from $200 to $800 per couple, were all disastrous. Wines were not carafe, wrong temperature, and above all, not suitable for the dish. Not surprisingly, when I decided to offer the option to our wine tasting experience, 90% of our guest jumped on the opportunity. When you offer yourself the "complete package" you get to experience a different wine for each dish that are serve. instead of talking about wine pairing, you get to live and learn. You may have purchase a coupon or get a gift certificate that didn't include the meal. That's ok. You only pay the restaurant at the end of the wine tasting anyway. Nothing to pay till you've experienced it by yourself and figured out how worthwhile it was. We work with all the chef of the restaurants we associate with to make sure that all our wine will pair perfectly to every dish you choose. Usually, we have standard cold and hot starters, chosen to work on some specific types of pairings. After that, you have 3 choices for the main course. Usually, white or red meat or fish. We also cater for vegetarian, vegan and allergies. We serve 2 differents wines for each dish. Which means that if you are use to red wine, we'll suggest you take the white meat or fish as your main course. That way you get to brothan your palate, explore wine out of your comfort zone. Meals are provided and paid directly to the restaurant. You simply benefit of both world; 2 specialistes that get together to provide you with the best we can offer. As you can see, nothing compare to a full experience.
